Scrap for joe

Sometime in July, Joe convinced me to participate the Nike 10km Run. I was a little hesitant at first but in the end, i was more gung ho than anyone else.

During the run, Joe accompanied me and I decided to make a journal for him to remember me by.

I made a book from scrap and pile them together.

I used red as back ground, observing that the logo is primarily in red and we both were wearing red, it only make sense.

I left the album empty for a while. I didn't know what to do with it. There wasn't a hint of inspiration at that point of time. I tried listening to some songs and stared at it for longest time, yet nothing came in between. I couldn't possibly use any flower theme.

So I started cutting owl from a 12X12 paper I bought recently. I guess it kept coming after I started sticking the owl in random places. No blog is complete with some descriptions on it.

Write some nice stuff in it and Joe was impressed with the result!

And yes, i completed the 10km run.

Simon's farewell

Upon knowing Simon will leaving us to lead the offshore team, i set on to prepare an album for him to remember us by. I picked blue because it's a neutral colour for everyone else.

I got everyone to write an individual message on a coloured scallop paper and stick them in a page where Simon can read them. At the same time, everyone would feel involved and participated.

What I did was I took a photo of each of everyone of us in office attire so that Simon can remember us by. It's funny how we recall our colleagues in their office attire. There was once when I bumped onto my colleague in his casual attire and someone, I felt weird. Like, he wasn't suppose to look like that, according to my recollection.

Here's some snapshot of photos of the incomplete stage of the photos.

Will upload the completed ones soon.

He was very touched with the book and I was honoured to have my photo taken with him.
