I am now into a new craze of stitching felt. I like it that they are so colourful and I am spoilt with choices. The tricky part is to cut 2 shapes of the same size and get them to hold still while I stitch them together. The next time I am into a new projtect, I will try to get some snapshot of the making. I initially wanted to make a bigger project, otherwise no oomph when hugging a soft toy but the idea of stitching can be tiresome and I didn't want to do something half way. So I thought it will be good to start something small and cute.I get the ideas from cartoons and I enjoy customizing them. I wanted to make something that doesn't sit at a corner and collect dust so I thought I make something useful. I travel quite a fair bit on the road and I have always wanted a neck rest (without having to pay for one). I didn't know how to gauge the size so I just borrowed one and trace it, rough estimate and somewhat there. It was just a plain looking neck rest and i decided to add a heart shape, and then some spikes and then eyes. Then it just look like a sea monster and sea monster it is.
I made another baby pillow with the scraps left from the neck rest project. Useful to distract kids when travelling too.

Felt soft toys - easy to make and they are so ideal as gifts for kids and loved ones. Start one today and it's addictive!
It was fun having you and your sister over to make things together. We should do it again sometime when you're back.
